Recording Studio to Production House
Lonesome Dog Studios was founded in 2016 by filmmaker and musician Ali Bazrcar — a lifelong creative whose journey began in music long before it expanded into film. Originally launched as a commercial recording studio in South-West London, Lonesome Dog was built as a space for Ali to produce artists, collaborate with the local scene, and create freely.

The name Lonesome Dog carries deep emotional weight. Inspired by the song “Lonesome Dog” from Ali’s former band Kings of the City, and named in honour of frontman Danny Wilder, who passed away at just 27, the studio became a tribute to creativity, resilience, and the independent spirit.
The album No Snake, which featured the track, has since surpassed 20+ million streams, leaving a lasting mark.
The Music Saga
For nine years, Lonesome Dog Studios operated as a respected independent recording studio, producing music that has now accumulated over 500 million streams.
Throughout that time, Ali collaborated with more than 40 creatives, building a community of producers, engineers, filmmakers, editors, and content creators. These years laid the creative, technical, and cultural foundations of the company we are today.
Evolving Into Film
As Ali produced artists, he naturally moved into film — shooting music videos, branded visuals, and even developing a TV show about the music industry, which was later optioned by a BAFTA-winning production company and remains in development.
By late 2024, following a rapid decline in the independent music landscape, Ali made the decision to close the recording studio and fully transition into filmmaking.
A New Era
In early 2025, Lonesome Dog Studios officially relaunched as a digital-first film production company, built on creativity, craft, and a decade of hands-on experience.
Today, with an in-house multi-skilled crew and a wider roster of highly experienced creatives, we produce cinematic content for brands, agencies, hospitality groups, tech companies, and fast-growing businesses across the UK.
